How Long Does It Take to Produce a Video

The time it takes to produce a video from concept to completion varies based on the needs of the project. But it’s safe to say that our average video project can easily be produced from concept to completion in just a couple of weeks.

Some clients call us the day before their shoot, and if we are available we can shoot with very little notice, but advanced planning is always preferred.

Pre-production is what we call the process of planning for your shoot. Pre-production can take anywhere from under an hour of simple logistics planning over the phone, up to a couple of weeks full of scriptwriting, storyboarding, casting, location scouting, crewing, and scheduling for the shoots.

After the project is shot, our standard editing turn-around time is less than a week for most projects. Post-production can go a little longer if complicated graphic or animation work is required or if the client requires multiple rounds of revisions.

We are very accommodating with clients who need quick turnarounds, like same-day or next-day delivery, so just let us know if you’re on a hard deadline, and we’ll plan accordingly to make it happen!
