Levy Production Group, Las Vegas Video Production Company, is honored to be nominated for another National Association of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Regional Emmy for our show “Behind The Vegas Ice.” The show was a ten-episode documentary series that gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of our city’s first ever professional sports team, the Vegas Golden Knights.
The first episode of the series aired in December 2016 and thus was eligible for the 2016 Emmy Awards. That series premiere episode was nominated and won in the category of Sports Program or Series at last year’s award show.
The other nine episodes of the series all aired in 2017 and thus were eligible for the 2017 Emmy Awards. LPG entered the series finale episode 10 into the Sports Program or Series category and was thrilled to once again be nominated.
To be nominated among a category of other great sports programs from throughout the Southwest region is a great honor and we are so proud of our whole team for their hard work on this project that spanned the course of 16 months of production and post-production.
The NATAS Pacific Southwest Emmy Awards Show will be held on June 16 in Palm Springs. Coincidentally, this also happens to be the same week that the Vegas NHL Franchise will finish their historic Stanley Cup Playoff run in their quest for the Cup in just one season. We are hoping that both the Vegas Golden Knights AND Levy Production Group can bring home trophies that week! But no matter the outcome, we are beyond honored to have been given the opportunity to chronicle the team’s historic journey from the very beginning.
